At age 10, Alex taught himself how to play guitar by learning Led Zeppelin 1 through 4. His first taste of advertising came when he was accepted into the communications program at a magnet high school in his hometown Louisville, KY. He has been intertwining these two talents ever since.
After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Creative Advertising, Alex added over 6 years of ad agency experience. His career began at Doe Anderson in Louisville, KY working on national and international brands such as Valvoline and Maker's Mark. He then moved to NYC, where he has spent the last 5 years as a content producer for Young & Rubicam. There, he was positioned on their flagship global account Colgate-Palmolive. Overseeing numerous TV productions domestic and international, he has worked on such notable brands as Colgate, Irish Spring, Men’s Speed Stick, Palmolive, and Campbell's.
Recognizing Alex's acumen for producing, and musical talents, Y&R utilized him as a hybrid music / content producer on all Colgate Palmolive brands. Having the marriage of those two passions resulted in a natural transition into his new role as Producer at MAS.
